Together with Sveriges Filmregissörer and Scen & Film, we show the documentary film Daughters, Guldbagge winner for best clip and also nominated for best documentary. Director Jenifer Malmqvist and photographer Ita Zbroniec-Zajt talk about the process behind the film, how to handle sensitive filming situations and their long-term collaboration. Sofia, Hedvig and Maja grew up in the countryside in southern Sweden with their mother Carolina – a luminous personality and a dedicated mother. In 2010, when the girls were 8, 10 and 16 years old, Carolina ended her own life. Today, the girls are young adults. Life moved on, but they all struggled to handle their grief in different ways.
