It’s summer and it’s boiling in the suburbs. Fifteen-year old Mahmoud spends his summer break on a bench with his one-eyed friend Arif, waiting for real life to begin. He hasn’t applied for any summer jobs, who will employ an “East Side Paki” named Mahmoud Mahroof? But summer doesn’t turn out as expected.
