Yuni is sixteen and lives in Indonesia. Because her parents have left her, she has to get by on her own, and she is considered problematic at school. When stricter Islamic rules are implemented, freedom for youngsters shrinks even more and Yuni has a hard time accepting this. She has started to discover her sexuality and is seen as a threat to order.
