38,254 km in 57 days. During the summer of 2015, the filmmaker Ayako Imamura sets o on a bicycle tour through the length and breadth of Japan. The trip doesn’t just become an enormous physical challenge for Imamura, but also an experiment in communication. During the journey, she’s required to push herself to the limits, and she discovers much she didn’t know – both about her homeland, and about herself.
