Bori lives with her mother, father and younger brother. She is the only one in the family who can hear, and this sometimes makes her feel like an outsider. After an evening at a firework festival, she gets separated from her family, which makes her feel an even stronger need to be like the rest of them: she decides to pretend that she is deaf as well.
