It is 1961. Two friends, Sara and Pirjo, live in houses next to the factories of Seppan, an area south of Stockholm. Seppan is a worker society where people from all over war-stricken Europe come to work and live. Sara and Pirjo’s friendship is put to the test in Seppan. They look death in the eyes for the first time and try to understand what it means to be an adult.
