In October 2024, we received the sad news of Suzanne Osten’s passing. Suzanne visited BUFF many times in various roles: as a filmmaker, jury member, children’s film ambassador, and seminar guest. In 2016, we screened her feature film Flickan, mamman och demonerna in our children’s film competition, despite its initial 15+ age rating, a decision that sparked widespread attention. The rating was later changed to 11+. We have invited several people who worked closely with Suzanne Osten to share their memories and experiences. What impact did she have, and what made her so unique? How can her legacy live on?
