Jim is a gifted boy with a passion for space and science. When he and his father move to a new town he takes part in a science competition with his new classmate, Emma. They build an air balloon together. Jim’s father is completely absorbed in his own space project but, when it becomes apparent that his father has given up, Jim becomes even more determined to complete his air balloon journey.
