”Mitt ibland oss” (”Among us all”) is the name of an interactive digital game about human rights, aimed at educators and their students in Years 10-12. The game is a new way of learning where fact and fiction meet through detective work in social media. The learning materials consist of two games that are a unique combination of new media and engaging issues such as asylum, hidden refugees and poverty. Through text and video, students research the topics in their search for Omid, as well as exploring the world of Shameless, the blogger.
Martin Rydehn, project manager at Amnesty, presents the game that has created a lot of interest from teachers, both with regards to the content and the method.
The workshop will be held at Victoriateatern.”Mitt ibland oss” är namnet på ett interaktivt digitalt spel om mänskliga rättigheter som riktar sig till pedagoger och elever i gymnasieskolan. Spelet är ett nytt sätt att lära, där fiktion och verklighet möts genom detektivarbete på elevernas hemmaplan – sociala medier. Läromedlet består av två spel som är en unik kombination av nya medier och engagerande frågor som asyl, gömda flyktingar och fattigdom. Eleverna får själva söka information via text och filmklipp för att följa jakten på Omid och utforska bloggerskan Shameless värld.
