The 32nd edition of BUFF, the international film festival for children and young people in Malmö, Sweden, will take place March 9-14, 2015. Film submission is now closed.
Thank you for your interest in submitting your film to the 2015 BUFF Film Festival. BUFF accepts features, documentaries, animations and short films from all over the world. The main target group for the festival is children and young people (age 3-19). We only accept films with first official screening date January 1st 2014 or later. Submitting films to BUFF is free of charge.
You are welcome to submit your film by filling out the form below and sending us an URL link to an online screener of the submitted film (i.e. Vimeo). If you don’t have the possibility to submit an online version of your film you can send a DVD to:

Deadline for submitting a film to BUFF 2015 is November 15, which means we must have received an online screener or a DVD screener of the film this day.
Selected films will be informed no later than January 15th. Our standard screening format is DCP.
Some films are selected for one of our competitions, but most of the films will be screened outside competition. The competitions at BUFF are:
– Best film for children / The City of Malmö’s Children’s Film Award 100.000 SEK
– Best film for young people / The Church of Sweden Award 100.000 SEK / The Young People’s Film Award organized by the department for Culture for Children and Youth in the City of Malmö.
– Best short film for children and young people / Region Skåne Short Film Award 50.000 SEK
– Best European film for children and young people / ECFA Award – at the end of the year the awarded film will be nominated by election for the overall ’ECFA AWARD’ for film of the year, presented during the Berlinale.
