For our next edition which will take place from the 14th till the 19th of March 2016, we’re looking for some great volunteers! As a volunteer, you will get to meet people from all around the world and from different structures such as cinema industry, media, embassies and cultural organizations.
We’re looking for the volunteers in the following areas:
–Cinema section: BUFF screens films in several cinemas and this is where we need the most volunteers. If you work at the cinema section, you will have to sell and check the tickets, take care of the audience, present movies and guests and also provide information about the festival. You will also have to go to Copenhagen airport to take our international guests to Malmö. If you’re social, open and well-informed about our festival, this position is for you!
–Guests section: It is important for us that our guests feel comfortable at BUFF and get a good experience of the festival. If you’re at the guests section, you will have to take care of our international guests. You will have to give them all the necessary information and help them to find the different locations in Malmö. If you are social, punctual, accessible and reliable, you’re the perfect person for this position!
–Blog/Social media/Video: Are you good at writing, filming or interviewing? All along the festival (and perhaps a few weeks before), we would like to post articles about BUFF on our blog. As a blogger, you can write about films at the festival, seminars and events. You can interview our guests and visitors. You can also post pictures on our Instagram during the festival. To work at that section, you need to have good English skills, be curious and have a great interest in cinema.
–Photography: Are you good at shooting? We need talented photographers to take great pictures all along the festival. You just need to have your own camera.

General requirements:
You’re social, curious and feel comfortable in team work. You’ve got interest in cinema and you feel good in a international atmosphere.
You speak English or Swedish. As we receive guests from all around the world, speaking another language is a plus.
Conditions:
As a volunteer, you don’t get an income, but you have access to the all festival and events for free. You don’t need to be full-time at the festival.

We’re waiting for you!Som volontär får du inblick i arbetet bakom kulisserna på festivalen. Allt arbete är ideellt och arbetsuppgifterna varierar efter önskemål och intresse. Du har en unik möjlighet att utvecklas tillsammans med BUFF efter dina intressen och färdigheter.
Som volontär blir du ackrediterad. Detta innebär att du har tillgång till samtliga filmvisningar i mån av plats samt prisutdelningen med galamiddag och våra andra event under festivalen. Självklart får man jobba precis hur mycket och lite man vill. Jobbar man längre pass blir man bjuden på mat.
Biografvärd
Som biografvärd är du den som möter publiken och fungerar som BUFF:s ansikte utåt. Du säljer och kontrollerar biljetter, tar hand om publiken, presenterar filmer och eventuella gäster samt informerar om festivalen. Biografvärdar jobbar i team om 3-4 personer. Viktiga egenskaper är att du är social, öppen och påläst om vårt program.
Gästvärd
Varje år kommer det gäster från hela världen för att vara en del av BUFF. Skådespelare, regissörer och producenter reser långväga för att representera sin film under festivalen. Som gästvärd hjälper du våra gäster att komma till rätta i Malmö.
Detta är något för dig som är social och tycker om att lära känna nya människor inom filmbranschen.
Fotografer
Detta är något för dig som har en stor passion för fotografi och dokumentation. Vi vill gärna ha duktiga fotografer som bevakar festivalen, allt från porträtt- till vimmel- och nyhetsfotografering. Bilderna kommer att publiceras på social media och Buffs hemsida under festivalen.
Detta är en fin fjäder i hatten för dig med fotografambitioner.
